Evergreen Takes the Win Against Multnomah on Senior Night

On senior night, the Multnomah Men's Basketball team was back playing against the Evergreen Geoducks. The seniors who were honored before the game include Wallace Ungwiluk, Zach Richardson, Taylor Peppinger, Quentin Jones, and Zen Goodridge. After a blowout loss the night before the Lions were in much need of a win. They currently find themselves 9th overall in the CCC, just one spot outside of the playoff.
Two of the Lions senior showed up big in the first half. It was Wallace Ungwiluk who scored 16 and Zach Richardson who put up 14. They combined for seven 3's just in the half. The Lions efficient three point shooting gave them the lead going into the half, up by 9.
After a slow first half, Evergreen began to heat up, nailing three after three on their way to victory against the Lions. Multnomah's poor 2nd half shooting from beyond the arc paved the way for the Geoducks comeback victory. Joseph Upshaw and Tyler Williford both recorded over 20 points in the game. Tyrese Taylor was the leading scorer for the Lions, putting up 23 on 22 shots total. Unfortunately, Taylor's efforts along with the senior duo of Wallace and Zach were not enough on this day as the Geoducks pulled away and won 93-87.
The Lions finish their season on the road as they travel east to Idaho to first play against Lewis-Clark State on Friday, February 17th at 7:30 PM.
