Multnomah Track and Field Run Under the Lights at Lewis & Clark College

The Multnomah Track and Field Team stayed at home this past weekend to run at the Lewis & Clark College Friday Night Lights on March 24th, 2023. The Lions were a full squad and we ready to put on a show before Spring Break. The 200m is the first event on deck and Roderick Soto stormed the track crossing the line at 21.89 winning the meet overall. Daniel Dixon cruised to another PR behind Soto running 22.31 grabbing third overall. The women followed the men and Isabelle Raasch ran her first collegiate 200m at 29.48, her teammate Nevaeh Austin matched her PR running 29.53. Next, the men's 800m, Fredrick Watkins ran another great race and beat his PR again running 2:01.19. Meanwhile while running events were undergo, Romeo Metcalf debuted in his first collegiate meet competing in the High Jump and cleared 1.80m and punched his ticket for conference. Back on the track, DeAsia Wosachlo crushed her race in the 1500m running 5:11.35 which is 13 second PR, and Kassidy Chamberlin ran her first 1500m in 5:56.60. The last event of the night was the men's 3000 steeplechase, Jacob Dalrymple and Jacob Miller were the dynamic duo in the race, taking the lead and working together to run a great race. Miller crossed the line first at 10:13.27 taking second overall and Dalrymple secured third overall running 10:21.41. The Lions will take a week off from racing and come back ready to race at Linfield University on April 8th, 2023.
